Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing complex datasets developing insightful reports and supporting data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role requires strong technical expertise in data warehousing ETL SQL and data visualization coupled with excellent analytical and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect analyze and interpret large datasets to support business decisions.
- Design develop and maintain dashboards and reports using BI visualization tools (e.g. Tableau Power BI Looker).
- Develop and optimize SQL queries to extract meaningful insights from relational databases.
- Implement and maintain ETL processes to ensure efficient data transformation and integration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity by implementing best practices in data governance.
- Identify trends patterns and opportunities through data analysis to improve business performance.
- Present findings and insights to stakeholders ensuring complex data is communicated effectively to non-technical audiences.
- Stay up to date with industry trends BI technologies and best practices.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong expertise in data analysis warehousing and ETL processes.
- Proficiency in SQL for querying and managing relational databases.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau Power BI Looker).
- Ability to translate business needs into technical data solutions.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong business acumen to align data insights with strategic goals.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science Statistics Mathematics Business Analytics) or equivalent experience.
- 5-8 years of experience in business intelligence data analytics or related roles.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts data modeling and ETL workflows.
- Hands-on experience with relational databases and SQL scripting.
- Exposure to cloud-based data warehousing solutions (e.g. Snowflake BigQuery Redshift) is a plus.
- Experience with Python R or other scripting languages is a plus.
- Knowledge of statistical methods and predictive analytics is a plus.
