Medical Systems Innovation and Design
This course covers all of the stages involved in developing medical devices; from concept to medical approval including system engineering medical device design signal processing electronics and ICT with Cloud and e-Health development. Medical Devices Design would provide a broad theoretical background with extensive engineering design process and give details on how the theory is translated into industrial medical products. The focus first is on the theory to explain main concepts and principles which remain valid across technological evolutions of medical devices. Then the Implementation would show how the theory is translated into a medical product.

Candidate profile:

  • PhD in Biomedical or Electrical Engineering or related discipline with specialization
  • Strong background and demonstrate expertise in the subject matter.
  • Licensed or eligible for licensing as professional engineers with a Canadian engineering regulator.

Teaching mode:

Courses will be in person.
