Supplier Quality Engineer (Associate Experienced or Senior)

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for an Associate (Level 2) Experienced (Level 3) or Senior (Level 4) Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team in Everett Washington.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Researches contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements for applicability to specific proposals and program processes and documentation.
  • Develops sections of quality metrics design and production certification plans to ensure compliance with contractual Company and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyzes capability assessments to support supplier selection activities.
  • Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs.
  • Performs data analysis to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.
  • Provides material review dispositions for non-conformances. Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Compiles performance reports and other statistical data to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved.
  • Works under general supervision.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

  • Level 2: 2 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Level 3: 5 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Level 4: 9 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology) Computer Science Data Science Mathematics Physics Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
  • Experience working in a quality job role.
  • Experience working with Quality Standards.
  • Experience with ability to read understand and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Experience collecting organizing and analyzing data; summarizing findings; developing conclusions.
  • Experience working with Quality and/or Safety Corrective Action/Preventive Action Root Cause Analysis.
  • Experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning and Production Part Approval Process.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

  • Project management experience.
  • Experience in the aerospace industry.
  • Experience with risk assessment methodologies and experience in supplier audits (e.g. FMEA system product and process audit assessment)
  • Experience and at least considered an intermediate user with office tools such Microsoft Office (Excel PowerPoint etc.).
  • Experience with utilizing analytic skills: collect organize synthesize and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources.
  • Experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning and Production Part Approval Process
  • Experience in various quality tools and processes such as inspection plans control plans and measurement system analysis (MSA).
  • Experience with Statistical Product Acceptance and review of supplier statistical plans
  • Experience with Engineering Process Improvement Methods: knowledge of producibility and process improvement methodologies (e.g. statistical process control (SPC) 6-Sigma)
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Ability to present technical findings to various levels of leadership

  • Associate (Level 2): $78200 - $105800
  • Experienced (Level 3): $94350 - $127650
  • Senior (Level 4): $116450 - $157550

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
