Job Title: Senior Project Manager / Pursuit Lead
Location: Lenexa KS
Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Project Manager / Pursuit Lead to join our team and spearhead our effort to secure and deliver an alternative delivery infrastructure package for a high-end mixed-use revitalization project in Kansas City. This role combines preconstruction pursuit leadership with owners representative project management ensuring seamless coordination between our firm ownership the Kansas City metro and our alternative delivery partners.
The ideal candidate will be well-connected in Kansas Citys development ecosystem with proven experience leading complex civic or mixed-use infrastructure projects and winning major pursuits.
Responsibilities
Lead our design-build pursuit strategy for the infrastructure work including proposal preparation presentations and stakeholder engagement.
Serve as the primary liaison with ownership and the Kansas City metro ensuring alignment of private redevelopment and public infrastructure efforts.
Build and manage relationships with key city agencies (Public Works Water Services Planning and Economic Development).
Assemble and coordinate the design-build team (civil structural MEP architecture and landscape partners).
Manage pursuit schedule budget and resources from RFQ through project award.
Support contract negotiations and help structure agreements with design and engineering partners.
Transition into an execution role post-award to manage project delivery phasing and ongoing city-owner coordination.
Qualifications
1020 years of experience in project management preconstruction or pursuit/capture management in construction or infrastructure.
Proven success leading alternative delivery design-build or CMAR pursuits preferably in mixed-use redevelopment or civic/public-private projects.
Strong local Kansas City relationships with public agencies developers and civic stakeholders.
Familiarity with TIF CID GO Bonds and other incentive/public financing tools.
Bachelors degree in construction management Civil Engineering Architecture or related field (masters preferred).
PMP CCM or DBIA certification preferred.
