Garda is looking to hire a Functional Support Analystin its Research and Technology (R&T) group in our Singapore office. The ideal candidate willjoin a global Business Analysts team responsible for supporting and enhancing the firms third-party trade capture P&L and risk system. This role focuses on providing end-to-end functional and technical application support for our Singapore-based users collaborating with trading desks operations risk and technology teams. Note that this is not a technical Business Analyst role.
The ideal candidate will be hands-on in managing real-time support gathering user requirements coordinating with vendors or internal teams and ensuring system stability and accuracy in a high-paced trading environment. The ideal candidate will also be able to troubleshoot and resolve trade capture P&L and risk-related processes across Rates and FX products.
Primary responsibilities for the role include:
- Real-Time P&L Support:
Provide comprehensive real-time application support for Rates and FX trading desks. Act as the system SME and go-to person for P&L-related queries. - System Monitoring:
Perform start-of-day checks including monitoring market data feeds risk reports and FIX message flows. - User Requirement Gathering & Solution Delivery:
Collect and analyze user requirements (Trading Assistants PMs Quants). Collaborate with internal tech teams or third-party vendors to design test and deploy system enhancements. - User Onboarding:
Support onboarding of new users and ensure smooth adoption of system functionalities. - Release Testing:
Coordinate and perform local user testing for new system releases.
Qualifications & Desired Skills
- Experience:
Minimum 5 years experience in trade capture systems (Orchestrade Murex or Calypso preferred). - Domain Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of Fixed Income (Swaps Bonds Bond Futures & Options) and FX products (Forwards Swaps Options).
- Prior exposure to Trading Assistant Middle Office or Systems Support functions is preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with market data feeds (e.g. Bloomberg) and troubleshooting data connectivity issues.
- Knowledge of FIX protocol and message flows is a plus.
- Basic SQL and experience with job schedulers is advantageous.
- Soft Skills:
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to interface with users and technical teams.
- Education:
Bachelors degree in STEM Finance or Economics preferred. - Experience with middle office operations such as futures & options exercises or bond corporate actions is a plus.
- Familiarity with Bloomberg terminal functionality is a plus.
