Job Description

Join AutoStore and Help Shape the Future of Warehouse Automation!

We are now looking for a Technical Drawer Engineer to join our growing R&D team. The mission of this role is to transform ideas challenges and concepts into clear technical sketches and visualizations that support decision-making in the early phases of product development. Working closely with engineers product teams and other disciplines you will help illustrate technical solutions and system functions across our portfolio. This role is not about final industrial design but about enabling creativity by by transforming discussions and ideas into practical visualizations.

Role Responsibilities

  • Create sketches drawings and production specifications from engineering product and customer discussions.

  • Analyze geometry and features to define component parts or assemblies and turn input from mechanics electronics and product teams into clear concepts.

  • Support brainstorming sessions workshops and feasibility studies by visualizing system concepts.

  • Contribute to new product ideas and updates to existing solutions.

  • Work within the system architecture team to provide visual and analytical support in projects.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience with technical or mechanical drawing preferably using Inventor or similar CAD software.

  • Education in Mechanical Engineering Industrial Design or a similar field.

  • Ability to generate ideas and turn them into concepts while understanding system flows.

  • Portfolio demonstrating relevant sketches and concept work (candidates are encouraged to bring examples).

  • Good communication and collaboration skills; able to listen to others capture their ideas and contribute your own.

Location for this role is in our offices either in Nedre Vats (Vindafjord) or Lysaker (Oslo).
