Job Description
Since 1917 Globe Machine has been a manufacturer of industrial machines systems and plants for advanced composites building products and pulp & paper.
The Fabrication Shop Helper will assist personnel within the Fabrication department with general fabrication maintenance and troubleshooting duties. This individual could be cross-trained to assist with duties related to operating the Burn Table Sawing equipment or Grinder.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Pull measure and gather material as paperwork specifies preparing jobs for fabricators.
- Track and communicate completed work within Fabrication department.
- Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within the Fabrication department.
- Ensure Fabrication area is clean in appearance including removing trash and sweeping as required.
- Successfully operate forklift and move pallets of goods throughout shop floor.
- Manage cut sheets and process drawing & traveler packages
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school graduate or G.E.D. strongly preferred.
- Minimum of three years of general assistant experience in a large machinery/equipment-manufacturing environment a plus.
- Basic math skills and the ability to read a tape measure required.
- Valid Washington State Drivers License in good standing is required.
- Demonstrated ability to be adaptable tactful and self-directed when faced with tight deadlines and fluid environments required.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate in English required.
- Must possess a proven history of being reliable with excellent attendance.
- Conduct oneself with the highest level of professionalism and ethical standards.
