The Jaffrey Grade School Nurse position will be a short term position available starting immediately until approximately the end of December School Nurse strengthens and facilitates the educational process by modifying or removing health related barriers to learning in individual students and promoting the optimal level of wellness for students and staff. The nurse assumes responsibility for appropriate assessment planning intervention evaluation management and/or referral activities; serves as the direct link between physicians families and community agencies to assure access and continuity of health care for students; provides relevant instruction counseling and guidance to students parents staff and others concerning health related issues; upholds professional standards the Nurse Practice Act and other state and local statutes and regulations applicable to nursing practice; and adheres to district policies and administrative of:Including but not limited to Part Ed 311 Nurse Practice Act NH RSA 326-B:12 Scope of Practice; Registered Nurse as revisedConfidentiality and Public School Health Records including but not limited to FERPA HIPAA and the confidentiality and ethics required by ones nursing license;Skill in:Use clinical judgment in providing case management exceptional customer service to staff and and organizing interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) to:Provide leadership in promoting health and safety including a healthy environmentProvide quality health care and intervene with actual and potential health problemsCollaborate with others to build student and family capacity for adaptation self-management self-advocacy and learningExhibit a personality that demonstrates enthusiasm and interpersonal skills to relate well with students staff administration parents and the community including difficult and emotional calm demeanor in a stressful strong attention to effectively in English both orally and in writing using proper grammar and independent judgement in the interrelation and application of standard practices and and interpret rules regulations laws instructions and information from various sources and prepare basic and standard reports.
