Job Summary
Ophthalmic Technician
Location: New York NY
Contract Duration: 8 Weeks
Shift:MonFri 8:00 AM 4:00 PM
Pay: $32 $42 per hour
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Ophthalmic Technicianfor an exciting job in New York NY.
Responsibilities:
Conduct preliminary eye exams including visual field tests ocular motility color vision tests and pharmacological pupil assessments
Perform tonometry tonography and Tensilon tonography tests
Manage patient flow and assist with physician scheduling
Obtain and document patient medical and personal history
Schedule lab tests imaging surgeries and coordinate outpatient studies
Explain diagnostic procedures and treatment plans to patients and families
Calibrate clean and maintain ophthalmic instruments such as slit lamps keratometers and lensometers
Prepare and sterilize instruments for office and surgical procedures
Assist physicians during minor surgeries laser treatments and operating room procedures
Maintain exam rooms and ensure supplies are stocked
Perform other related duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Certification: Certified Ophthalmic Technician (Required)
