Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth were looking to add a Commodity Manager Mechanical located in Guadalajara North.

Reporting to the Director Commodity Management Mechanical the Commodity Manager Mechanical role will be responsible for supporting the development implementation and management of global strategies to provide Flex segments and business groups with optimal supply assurance pricing flexibility quality and delivery performance (focus on Mechanical commodities). Working closely with the Supply Chain team / Local Management the Commodity Manager will communicate and implement strategies contracts and pricing to all regions with an overall focus on maintaining good supplier relationships and costs to a minimum to achieve maximum advantage for the company and its customers.

What a typical day looks like:

• Establish and manage long-term strategic and core supplier relationships and will engage with Flex sites and business segments
• Guide the selection development and management of Core and Strategic Suppliers to meet commodity costs and performance goals
• Organize and manage the commodity team with a focus on talent acquisition retention and development and performance appraisal.
• Implement programs for supplier selection supplier performance management and supply base optimization
• Provide Quotation centers with support from core and strategic suppliers to obtain timely quotes
• Monitor current commodity market conditions technology roadmaps and identify supply/demand trends. Develop implement and communicate tactical and strategic commodity plans internally and to Flex customers as appropriate
• Collaborate with Customer Supply Chain Managers and Product Introduction centers to coordinate sourcing strategies and ensure a smooth and timely manufacturing ramp on new programs
• Provide access to technology product roadmaps technology strategies and industry trends.
• Provide a point of escalation for Commodity issues as appropriate.
• Implement appropriate HR strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce

The experience were looking to add to our team:

• BA/BS/MBA or equivalent work experience
• Solid experience in commodity management strategic sourcing or procurement within a global manufacturing environment.
• Strong background in mechanical commodities
• Solid technical understanding of manufacturing processes and product technologies related to mechanical components.
• Proven ability to execute and monitor RFQ processes with strict compliance.
• Skilled in managing supplier relationships at a global and strategic level.
• Experience driving strategic sourcing initiatives for both new and existing suppliers.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Flexibility to travel.
