Job Summary
This position is primarily for educational or religious purposes and should be used for providing valuable educational experiences for the Intern. It is to give the Intern an opportunity to see how principles and practices learned in their educational institutions are applied in actual work setting. Under general supervision the Intern performs work as assigned by the department.
Responsibilities
- Under moderate supervision incumbents in this position perform a variety of functions such as queries journal vouchers research reconciliations etc.
- Process Purchase Orders and changes and prepare projects for capitalization.
- Keep track of insurance on projects.
- Ad hoc projects as required.
Qualifications
- Enrollment in a degree in Accounting Finance or Business with two years completed or within one-year following graduation is required.
- Fundamental understanding and grasp of Accounting Principles and concepts.
- Ability to learn PeopleSoft quickly. Some experience with this system preferred.
- Self-motivated organized professional and able to handle multiple work assignments.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Detail oriented.
