Job Summary

Since 1917 Globe Machine has been a manufacturer of industrial machines systems and plants for advanced composites building products and pulp & paper.

The Assembly Shop Helper will assist personnel within Assembly with general expediting of materials and parts cleaning and assisting the department in assembly and loading duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Check in parts ensuring all received parts are properly accounted for and organized.
Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within the Assembly department.
Ensure Assembly area is clean in appearance including removing trash and sweeping as required.
Successfully operate forklift and move pallets of goods throughout shop floor.
Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school graduate or G.E.D. strongly preferred.
Minimum of two years of general assistant experience in a large machinery/equipment-manufacturing environment strongly desired.
Basic mathematical skills and ability to read a tape measure required.

Knowledge of machining procedures and the use of micrometers calipers and gauges preferred

Forklift and overhead crane experience a plus

Valid Washington State Drivers License in good standing is required.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to work independently and within a team environment proactively contributing ideas to improve operations required.
Demonstrated ability to be adaptable tactful and self-directed when faced with tight deadlines and fluid environments required.
Basic oral and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate in English required.
Must possess a proven history of being reliable with excellent attendance.
Conduct oneself with the highest level of professionalism and ethical standards.

All employees of Globe MUST be able to pass a drug test and background check. Our industry is safety sensitive and we do require a negative cannabis drug screen as well.
