Ziegler CAT has an opening for a Custodian. This person helps keep the warehouse in top condition by maintaining the cleanliness of the warehouse by emptying garbage recycling cardboard sweeping and scrubbing floors cleaning counter tops and windows. Keeping contamination control at a high level is critical for this position.
Responsibilities:
Maintain organized rows and stacks of cardboard bales and empty pallets
Empty garbage cans in the warehouse
Recycle all of the cardboard in the warehouse
Sweep and scrub floors ensuring all floors are clear
Clean countertops and windows
Clean up spills which may include hazardous materials like battery acid and oil
Call waste company when compactor is full
Work in a cooperative manner with team
Replace squeegee and brushes on floor scrubber
Safety operate the forklift
Qualifications:
High School Diploma / GED required
2 years related experience
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions for the purpose of safety procedures
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Basic computer skills
Able to work independently
Able to operate forklift
Able to operate required equipment safely (forklifts floor scrubbers and other cleaning equipment)
Minor mechanical ability
Personal Attributes: Commitment/Dependability Planning and Organization Attention to Detail Efficiency
This role is deemed safety-sensitive and will be subject to a drug test as a pre-employment requirement
Minimum Physical Requirements:
Push/pull up to 25 lbs
Lift/carry up to 50 lbs
Lift bulky objects
Standing walking using hands neck rotation trunk rotation stair climbing ladder climbing repetitive bending kneeling sustained squat forward reaching overhead reaching fingering/grasping - able to use a bolt box.
Working conditions are primarily indoor. Noise level may be moderate at times.

The pay range for this position is
$17.78 to $21.32
Starting wage is dependent on skills experience education and location. Pay range may vary by 10% depending upon the applicants location. Along with competitive pay full time positions are benefits eligible which includes:
