Job Description:

STC is seeking an Education & Public Outreach Coordinator III to provide advanced support under the ATMOS Contract at NASA GSFC. The ATMOS contract supports NASAs Earth Sciences Division in promoting understanding of atmospheric research through education communications and public engagement.

ATMOS is a NASA support services contract that provides advanced scientific engineering and technical expertise to enable Earth and space science missions. The program supports research data analysis technology development and mission operations across multiple NASA centers. Through ATMOS our teams deliver innovative solutions that help advance NASAs mission and expand scientific discovery.

In this mid-level role the Education & Public Outreach Coordinator III will work closely with scientists and communication teams to prepare advanced outreach products including high-profile presentations technical summaries and multimedia materials. The position emphasizes managing outreach activities that enhance visibility of NASAs atmospheric science programs across professional and public audiences.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop advanced communications products (presentations publications and visuals).
  • Support strategic outreach events and public education campaigns.
  • Coordinate with NASA scientists to ensure technical accuracy of outreach products.
  • Contribute to lesson plans online resources and outreach campaigns.

Requirements
  • B.S. in physics optics electrical mechanical or optical engineering or
  • High school diploma plus four years of experience in a relevant technical position. This experience can include technical coursework at a college university or community college and may also include military training and experience. This experience is in addition to the experience required for the position level.
  • Minimum of 6 years experience in education or public outreach.
  • Strong communication skills with experience in multimedia production preferred.
