About the role

We are seeking a dedicated House Supervisor to lead one of our youth residential care homes supporting children and young people with complex this vital role youll oversee daily care guide a team of residential care workers and help create a safe therapeutic environment where young people can feel supported.

This is a Full-time (38hr per week) opportunity based in Geelong (Barwon region) within our Out-Of-Home Care Program. This position reports to the residential coordinator.

Key Selection Criteria:

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A Certificate IV in Child Youth and Family Intervention (Residential and Out of Home Care or other similar or relevant tertiary qualifications or a commitment to enrolling into course.)
  • A genuine interest in Young People and their wellbeing.
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to engage well with Young People
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other staff and professionals.
  • A demonstrated understanding of and respect for cultural and linguistic background including a commitment to cultural safety.

Requirements:

  • Valid and current Drivers Licence;
  • Satisfactory Criminal History Check (paid for by MacKillop);
  • Valid Employee Working with Children Check;
  • Valid and current NDIS Workers Screening Check (MacKillop can assist successful candidates with their application).
