Overview
Join a dynamic team at General Motors as a Quality Finance Analyst where you will play a key role in supporting financial operations driving process improvements and delivering actionable insights to enhance GMs Quality and Warranty performance. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams manage diverse projects and contribute to high-impact initiatives in a fast-paced environment while receiving high level of visibility to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Monthly & Annual Reporting: Refresh and maintain a suite of monthly financial reports on GMs Warranty performance using Databricks and Hyperion platforms. Support annual processes including accruals budget and long-term planning in partnership with Controllership
Ad-Hoc Analysis & Projects: Lead and support a variety of ad-hoc projects including deep dives into warranty costs key economic drivers and process improvements. Maintain and update project status in Microsoft Lists and OneDrive folders
KPI Setting & Tracking: Assist in developing KPIs and tracking processes to drive focus on key areas affecting GMs warranty spend and hold Engineering / Program Teams accountable for driving results that align to GMs corporate Quality goals
Cross-functional Coordination: Assess enterprise-wide impact of Quality initiatives incorporating input from variety of internal stakeholders across different departments to determine optimal course of action to improve GMs bottom line
Data Management & Tools: Utilize advanced analytics tools such as Power BI Databricks SQL and Python to extract analyze and visualize data
Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to report on project status deliver insights and recommend actions. Regularly communicate findings and updates to stakeholders including Finance leadership
Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for process optimization and improvement. Embrace a mindset of curiosity and continuous learning to drive innovation within the team
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Finance Business Data Analytics or a related field
2 years of relevant experience
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proficiency in Excel and financial modeling
Effective communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams
Ability to operate independently and self-motivated
Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
Proficiency with Power BI Hyperion Databricks SQL and Python
Experience working in the automotive industry most preferably in Engineering Finance
Enterprise-mindset and ability to consider multiple competing priorities to determine best approach for overall corporation
Ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables in a dynamic environment
Experience with financial reporting forecasting and data visualization
