Human Resources Generalist
Direct Hire
Position Function:
This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day administration of payroll and benefits while also serving as a key liaison between the company and prospective candidates. The position supports leadership in building and strengthening teams ensuring a seamless candidate and employee experience.
The ideal professional will be proactive highly organized and adept at managing multiple priorities. Responsiveness attention to detail and the ability to balance operational efficiency with employee support are essential to success in this role.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
  • Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
    • Partner with hiring managers to develop accurate compliant job descriptions.
    • Coordinate recruitment efforts candidate selection interviews background checks and offer letters.
    • Design and deliver onboarding programs orientations and employee counseling to support successful integration.
  • Employee Engagement & Development
    • Implement initiatives to strengthen company culture including recognition programs milestone celebrations and employee activities.
    • Facilitate the performance review process to support professional growth and accountability.
  • Payroll & Compensation
    • Manage payroll processing audits PTO tracking and seasonal workforce expansions.
    • Oversee annual W-2/1099 filings compensation adjustments bonuses and related reporting.
  • Benefits Administration
    • Lead annual Open Enrollment and benefits compliance including 401k administration COBRA and ERISA reporting.
    • Manage Workers Compensation processes audits and communication with providers.
  • Compliance & Risk Management
    • Oversee EEO-1 reporting OSHA recordkeeping 401k audits ERISA compliance and handbook updates.
    • Ensure alignment with federal and state regulations including ADA FLSA HIPAA and EEOC.
    • Maintain affirmative action programs and serve as point of contact for compliance audits.
  • Employee Relations & Offboarding
    • Respond to HR-related inquiries investigate and resolve employee issues and support conflict resolution.
    • Manage terminations unemployment claims and separation processes with professionalism.
This is a highly visible role that requires discretion strong organizational skills and the ability to balance operational demands with employee advocacy. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on HR expertise a solutions-focused mindset and proven experience in compliance payroll and employee engagement.
Skills/Experience Requirements:
  • 5 years experience in processing payroll and benefits; ADP platform experience highly desirable.
  • Bilingual - English/Spanish
  • Must have strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Customer service focused.
  • Organized detail oriented and exceptional follow-up skills.
  • Experienced working under multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
Education Requirements:
  • 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience.
