Job Summary

Job Title: MRI Technologist (Contract)

Location: Columbia SC

Shift: Day Shift 3x12 hours (7:00 AM 7:30 PM)

Hours: 36 per week

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join a diagnostic imaging team in a hospital-based setting. The technologist will be responsible for operating MRI equipment to produce detailed images assisting physicians in diagnosing medical conditions and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process.

Responsibilities:

Perform MRI procedures according to physician orders and department protocols.
Ensure patient safety comfort and proper positioning during imaging procedures.
Operate MRI equipment and monitor image quality for accuracy.
Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.
Follow safety standards for MRI including screening for contraindications.
Collaborate with radiologists physicians and healthcare team members.
Assist with scheduling patient prep and departmental workflow.

Qualifications:

Registered MRI Technologist (ARRT-MR or equivalent certification) required.
Active South Carolina state license (if applicable).
Minimum 12 years of MRI experience preferred.
BLS certification required.
Strong communication patient care and technical skills.
Ability to work 12-hour day shifts including weekends if scheduled.
