Job Summary

Summary:

The Structural Engineer creates designs and blueprints along with a team of other engineers and drafters using software and making modifications as needed to various projects that MPI/CCS may be engaged in.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Creates and designs blueprints for Ag and light commercial projects and/or
Ensure building systems are functional reliable and safe and identify problems if any
Participate in site visits
Consulting with clients on building projects as needed
Testing and evaluating building systems
All other duties assigned

Qualifications:

Education:

High School Diploma or GED and/or Technical College

Bachelors or Associates Degree in Drafting Engineering or relevant field of study preferred

Experience:

0-1 years of experience in drafting engineering or relevant field in the construction industry.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

Computer skills
Strong working knowledge of CAD or engineering software
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Problem solving and organizational skills including time management delegation prioritization and multitasking
Work independently with little direction
Work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines
Must be able to establish good working relationship with many individuals

Physical Requirements:

Exposure to characteristic construction site danger if on job site
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift or move 20 pounds
