Job Summary
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Build calibrate and validate computer models for water and sewer systems to evaluate system performance.
- Conduct hydraulic analyses to support master planning capital improvement planning (CIP) and design projects.
- Prepare technical calculations reports and documentation in accordance with client specifications and industry standards.
- Identify performance deficiencies in collection and distribution systems forecast future capacity issues and recommend solutions.
- Execute project management tasks for modeling assignments including scope development budget tracking and progress reporting.
- Perform quality control and quality assurance reviews on modeling deliverables and project documents.
- Provide updates to project managers and clients on modeling results progress and recommendations.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and design staff in modeling tools and methodologies.
- Participate in client meetings present technical findings and deliver consultative support throughout project execution.
Required Experience
- Bachelors degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- 810 years of relevant engineering experience with a focus on hydraulic modeling and infrastructure planning.
- Proficiency in modeling software such as InfoWorks ICM InfoWater WaterGEMS or SewerGEMS.
- Experience with GIS tools transient analysis and data management.
- Strong written verbal and presentation skills with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively on multidisciplinary teams and manage project deliverables.
$55 - $70 an hour
