Job Summary

Locum NP/PA - Surgeon - Cardiothoracic in Lansing MI

Join a reputable medical facility in Lansing Michigan where you will collaborate with a skilled team of cardiothoracic surgeons. This practice features two cardiac surgeons and one thoracic surgeon along with support from multiple advanced practice providers. Your role will include inpatient coverage with the opportunity to perform one surgery each day. Ideal candidates will have prior experience including ICU and be proficient in vein harvesting and key cardiothoracic procedures.

Job Responsibilities:

Collaborate effectively with surgeons and other advanced practice providers.
Participate in daily rounds and inpatient care.
Perform vein harvesting and other critical procedures such as arterial bypass and bypass surgery.
Manage patient care from pre-operative assessment to post-operative follow-ups.
Utilize Cerner EMR for documentation and patient management.
Provide on-call support as needed including potential weekend shifts.

Qualifications:

Active Michigan NP/PA Licensure.
Current Board Certification in relevant field.
Demonstrated proficiency in vein harvesting.
Completion of Covid-19 vaccination protocol.
Verifiable DEA registration.
Local candidates preferred.
Clean background check with no exceptions.

License and Certification Requirements:

MI License: REQUIRED at time of name clear no exceptions (not accepting IMLC).
Board Certification: REQUIRED.
Vein harvesting proficiency: REQUIRED.
Covid Vaccination: REQUIRED.
Verbal confirmation of DEA: REQUIRED.
Local providers: REQUIRED.
Clean background: REQUIRED no exceptions.
