Job Description
PPS is seeking a detail-oriented Plant Operator for our liquid waste management facility in Austin. This is a full-time permanent position with benefits and a high ceiling for growth!
Responsibilities:
- Load/unload docks using forklift
- Operate and monitor pumps valves chemical feed systems and other treatment equipment to control the flow and treatment processes
- Monitor gauges and charts and use computerized systems to ensure optimal treatment and compliance with regulations
- Collect samples at various points and perform laboratory tests to assess water quality and treatment efficiency
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment identify and resolve equipment issues and make necessary repairs
- Document operational data maintain records on water quality and prepare reports to ensure adherence to environmental regulations
- Follow safety procedures plan emergency response protocols and act to fix issues
The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:
- Experience safely handling liquid waste wastewater or chemicals
- High level of attention-to-detail
- Proven mechanical acumen and previous work with pumps motors valves etc.
- Forklift operation experience
- Monitoring machines or processes
- Ability to follow SOPs to maintain environmental compliance
