Overview: As a member of our team your primary responsibility will be to warmly welcome customers assist them with their inquiries and direct them to the appropriate department or personnel. You will play a crucial role in creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere for all visitors to the dealership. This is a full-time hourly position in the fast-paced and exciting auto industry.
Responsibilities:
- Refer customers to the correct service advisors and guide customers through the service and parts department.
- Help manage 40-60 vehicle appointments a day and sets the schedule for diagnostic appointments oil changes and special-order parts.
- Greet customers as they drive up and use the dispatch system with cones paperwork and tablet to check the customer into our service department.
- Work around 10 people a day on our service drive.
- Pick-up and deliver vehicles at the desired location on occasion.
- Test drive vehicles to ensure repairs are completed.
- Offer complimentary refreshments to customers while they wait such as coffee water or snacks. Monitor and replenish refreshment supplies as needed.
- Keep the lobby area clean organized and well-maintained at all times. Ensure promotional materials brochures and relevant information are readily available for customers.
- Support administrative tasks such as data entry filing and document organization as needed.
- Assist other dealership staff members with various tasks to ensure smooth operations.
- Incumbent will be required to wear company branded clothing at all times
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of experience in a customer service role in the automotive industry preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented and able to multitask
- Must be well organized
- Basic computer skills
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
- This role primarily operates outdoors. May require standing for extended periods. Occasional lifting of light objects.
