Job Description

Sr. FP&A Analyst
Location: Washington DC Metro Area
Employment Type: Full-Time Hybrid Eligible
About the Opportunity
A fast-growing clean energy company is seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to join its corporate finance team. This organization develops and operates utility-scale energy storage projects that help customers reduce costs improve grid reliability and integrate renewable energy sources. The company is mission-driven and entrepreneurial with a leadership team that brings decades of experience in clean energy and infrastructure.

This is a high-impact role reporting to the Head of Corporate Finance ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys working with complex financial models to support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
  • Build enhance and maintain end-to-end financial and operational models
  • Lead monthly quarterly and annual financial reviews and analysis
  • Improve and implement budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Support preparation of board and executive-level presentations
  • Conduct in-depth cash flow and financial performance analysis
  • Collaborate with accounting and treasury teams to ensure accurate reporting
  • Provide ad hoc support across finance accounting and treasury functions
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Economics or related field
  • 2 years of experience in corporate FP&A (renewable energy experience a plus)
  • Strong Excel skills with ability to build and interpret complex models
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and reporting tools; skilled in executive presentation development
  • Understanding of GAAP accounting principles
  • Strong analytical organizational and communication skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work independently
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%
