Job Summary

The Inpatient Nursing Supervisor will help oversee the day-to-day operations in the Inpatient Detox and Residential Facility. This person will be responsible for supervising staff ensuring the delivery of high-quality client care coordinating medical care for inpatient clients and maintaining regulatory compliance.

Education Requirements:

  • Associates in nursing required prefer bachelors.

Experience Requirements:

  • 2 years as a behavioral health/SUD nurse preferred.
  • 2 years experience in a nursing supervisory position preferred.

License Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse License valid in Ohio.
  • BLS/CPR Certification required will train.
  • Must have a valid drivers license acceptable driving record and be deemed insurable through Team Recoverys insurance carrier.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Staff Management:

    • Supervise and provide leadership to the behavioral health technician & nursing team including performing duties of role as outlined in agency SOPs.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback for staff development.
    • Facilitate training and orientation for new staff members.
    • Develop and monitor staff schedules and maintain defined unit ratios
    • Track and monitor staff attendance and performance and adhere to company disciplinary policies.

    Oversee Quality Client Care Delivery

    • Ensure that behavioral health technicians and nurses deliver compassionate and effective care to clients in an inpatient setting.
    • Investigate and resolve related client complaints and grievances as assigned.
    • Ensure compliance with confidentiality and privacy regulations (e.g. HIPAA) when sharing

    information.

    • Monitors client census and oversees nutrition programs.
    • Collaborate with admissions clinical and medical staff to execute program policies and procedures.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in an inpatient setting.

    Oversee Crisis Management and Emergency Response

    • Provide guidance and support during crisis situations ensuring the safety and well-being of both clients and staff.
    • Assist staff in de-escalation techniques
    • Train staff in emergency response protocols and provide support as needed.

    Documentation and Reporting

    • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of client care and staff activities.
    • Prepare reports audits and maintain records in compliance with organizational policies and procedures.

    Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and effective communication.

    Perform other duties as assigned.
