About Organization

The AI & Automation Department at SXC drives operational excellence by implementing intelligent automation and AI solutions. Its mission is to minimize manual effort enhance efficiency and foster innovation across the organization ultimately positioning SXC as a leader in data-driven agile operations. This involves transforming traditional network operations through state-of-the-art AI/ML solutions to achieve Level 4 and 5 autonomy ensuring unmatched performance efficiency and self-healing capabilities across complex telecom infrastructures.

Job Duties

As an AI Product & Solution SME this role requires excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering high-quality results in incident management configuration management and performance management. This is a pivotal position for an innovative and experienced AI/ML leader to architect and deliver next-generation intelligent automation for autonomous telecommunications networks.

Key duties include:

  • ML Techniques:Supervised Unsupervised and Reinforcement Learning (e.g. Q-learning).

  • Deep Learning:CNNs LSTMs Transformers; Generative Models (GANs VAEs).

  • Time Series & Forecasting:Capacity planning anomaly detection.

  • Model Ops:Drift detection monitoring retraining performance tuning.

  • Agentic AI:Multi-agent systems using Lang Chain Lang Graph Crew AI for NOC/SOC bots.

  • LLM & NLP:Fine-tuning RAG summarization; intent-based policies and AI-driven ticketing/chatbots.

  • AI/ML Strategy & Roadmap:Define and execute the AI/ML strategy to advance telecom networks to Level 4/5 autonomy. Identify impactful use cases and operational challenges for AI-driven automation. Build and deliver scalable intent-based ML frameworks aligned with business goals. Collaborate across teams to deploy production-grade AI/ML systems.

  • Deep Technical Expertise in AI/ML:

  • Programming & Engineering:Strong Python skills with best practices (logging modular code exception handling). CI/CD pipeline development for ML systems. Conduct code reviews and enforce high-quality testable code standards.

  • Big Data & MLOps:Hands-on experience with Hadoop Spark Kafka Flink for data engineering. MLOps tools like MLflow Kubeflow Seldon for model lifecycle and monitoring. Expertise in AWS Azure or GCP including distributed training on cloud-native infrastructure.

  • Telecom & Network Domain:Deep knowledge of 4G/5G SDN/NFV MEC and CNFs. Expertise in telemetry QoS dynamic spectrum sharing. Familiarity with key protocols: BGP OSPF IP/MPLS VXLAN. Experience building AI-driven self-configuring self-healing networks.

  • Project Delivery:Lead end-to-end AI/ML project lifecycle (ideation to deployment). Translate business needs into technical AI solutions with measurable KPIs. Define SoW HLDs and system architectures; ensure scalability and performance. Manage retraining cycles error handling and post-deployment optimizations.

  • Leadership & Collaboration:Lead cross-functional teams of data scientists ML engineers and developers. Foster a high-performance culture of innovation experimentation and accountability. Act as technical advisor to leadership; align AI initiatives with business strategy. Collaborate with Product Engineering Ops and Customer teams. Represent AI/ML in executive meetings and technical strategy discussions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education:Bachelors degree in Telecommunications Engineering or a related field.

  • Experience:10 years of hands-on experience including core components with a focus on AI/ML Programming Languages Data Science and Telecom.

  • Skills:Excellent analytical and development skills with a focus on delivering high-quality results.

  • Work Ethic:Self-motivated proactive and able to work independently and lead the team.

  • Adaptability:Ability to adapt to a fast-paced dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

  • Customer Focus:Strong commitment to delivering high-quality service and ensuring customer satisfaction.

  • Communication:Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
