Job Duties:

UW-Oshkosh College of Business Arts & Communication is seeking a dynamic and innovative individual to join our team as an Assistant Instructional Designer supporting faculty in the development and enhancement of online and in-person courses while advancing the integration of emerging technologies in our position will primarily be working with the School of Business.

If you are passionate about instructional design you will have an opportunity to help elevate our curriculum and support our faculty in both online and in-person course this exciting role youll:

  • Work directly with instructors to create and organize content implement instructional technologies and provide technical support.

  • Lead impactful training and professional development sessions for faculty and staff.

  • Create and maintain essential support materials including instructor guides and knowledgebase articles.

  • Share the latest in instructional design and tech trends through engaging media and communications with our instructors.

This role will be reporting to our currentInstructional Designerand provide you opportunities to learn and grow in the role.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides support for collecting organizing interpreting and disseminating data to identify instructional program needs and enhance effectiveness
  • Assists with the design and development of multimedia learning materials
  • Provides support for faculty development and engagement programs and activities
  • Completes initial edits reviews and updates of existing instructional materials
  • Contributes to researching designing and/or acquiring learning resources technologies materials and/or processes to support learning
  • Assists with the design and development of engaging effective learning experiences which may be face-to-face blended and/or online
  • Assists with providing basic training and technical support to learners in settings such as classrooms labs clinics and distance learning mediums
  • Provides consultation training and/or support for learning technology tools and platforms
  • Analyzes tests troubleshoots resolves issues and provides feedback regarding learning technologies

Compensation:

Starting at $45000 commensurate with experience

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree

  • 3-5 years experience in training and development OR a degree in training and development or related.

  • Proven experience with Canvas (or Other LMS)

  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills including excellent written and verbal communications.

  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong professional working relationships with internal (campus) and external constituents

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to apply and/or demonstrate the following competencies:Adult learning theories Instructional design and development E-learning Remote learning Asynchronous learning Hybrid learning Accessibility Artificial Intelligence (AI) and/or Proficiency in softwaretools relevant to online education.

  • Demonstrated knowledgeor experience in Higher Education

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in a field related to instructional design and/or emerging technology
