Founding Engineer (Design & Frontend)
Full-time On-site San Francisco CA
Compensation: $140K $250K 0.5%1.75% Equity
About the Role
Were looking for a Founding Frontend Engineer with strong product taste and a track record of shipping intuitive polished interfaces. Youll be joining at the 01 stage helping set up foundational systems and building highly performant products from the ground up. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in fast-moving startup environments and wants to influence both product direction and design culture.
Tech stack: React TypeScript PowerSync
What Youll Do
- Build elegant high-performance consumer interfaces for complex financial workflows
- Architect reusable frontend components and establish the internal design system
- Collaborate closely with design and backend teams to shape APIs and UX for long-running tasks streaming data and tool integrations
- Lay down the foundational frontend systems to enable scale
What Were Looking For
- Strong experience with React and modern web technologies
- Experience solving caching challenges and building performant interfaces
- A sharp design eye and passion for crafting tasteful user-friendly products
- Comfort working in high-speed ambiguous early-stage environments
- Bonus: experience with sync engines or strong curiosity-driven exploration
