Job Summary
The Sr Clinical Applications Analyst is responsible for day-to-day coordination and development of assigned clinical/patient care applications. Participates and/or leads in the design development implementation evaluation and maintenance of new and legacy systems. Increasing responsibility for the design development and management of the educational programs for the user departments.

Position Overview
Pathology Informatics supports St. Judes mission by delivering reliable safe and innovative laboratory information systems that clinicians scientists and our patients can count on. The Clinical Applications Analyst II or Sr. Clinical Applications Analyst in Pathology Informatics is responsible for implementing managing and optimizing Pathologys information systems assuring seamless integration with the electronic health record (EHR). The analyst partners with laboratory leadership IS and vendor teams to turn clinical workflows into resilient CAP-aligned solutions. The role focuses on system/workflow integration interface design and maintenance upgrades and validation/change control in adherence with best practices and standards.

Position will work primarily on-site and rotate on-call after hours weekends and holidays.
Previous experience in Medical Lab Science or Clinical Lab Science with an ASCP certification strongly desired.
Experience with Data Innovations Instrument Manager and EPIC Beaker is highly preferred.
Clinical Applications Analyst II Job Responsibilities:
- Assists in the design configuration validation and maintenance of instrument and application interfaces for Pathology workflows in alignment with CAP and institutional standards.
- Provide day-to-day support for pathology systems ensuring their reliability and optimal performance.
- Maintain access controls permissions and audit artifacts per institutional policy.
- Supports system upgrades and enhancements by testing and validating changes in collaboration with technical teams and laboratory end users.
- Actively participates in meetings with cross-functional teams to elicit and understand business requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper integration of new and existing laboratory instruments applications etc.
- Adhere to change management processesmaintaining thorough documentation of validation testing approvals and implementation follow-up in accordance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to instrument and application data interfaces and data transfer.
- Monitor data integrity and validate the accuracy of data transferred between instruments/applications and LIS in accordance with current best practices.
- Conduct analyses to report emerging business/system/process needs; escalate complex problems when required.
- Track and drive resolution of needs and requests of teams within area in coordination with laboratory teams and partner IT teams.
- Support activities related to education of departmental teams around strategy services and capabilities as well as change management project management and communication.
- Maintain relationships with key stakeholders and vendors serving as the frontline point of contact for customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution.
- Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
Minimum Education and/or Training:
- Bachelors degree in computer science engineering business or related field required.
- Masters degree preferred.
Minimum Experience:
- Minimum requirement: Two (2) years of experience in a client-facing IT role.
- Experience working with structured Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies
- Experience leading discussions identifying and documenting business IT problem statements business process design and report requirements.
Salary range: $70720.00/yr.-$126880.00/yr.
Sr. Clinical Applications Analyst Job Responsibilities:
- Design configure validate and maintain instrument and application interfaces for Pathology workflows in alignment with CAP and institutional standards.
- Lead system upgrades and enhancements (test plans IQ/OQ/PQ or equivalent regression testing cutover and post-go-live monitoring).
- Provide day-to-day support for pathology systems ensuring their reliability and optimal performance.
- Maintain access controls permissions and audit artifacts per institutional policy.
- Actively participate and lead in meetings with cross-functional teams to elicit and understand business requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper integration of new and existing laboratory instruments applications etc.
- Adhere to change management processesmaintaining thorough documentation of validation testing approvals and implementation follow-up in accordance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to instrument and application data interfaces and data transfer.
- Monitor data integrity and validate the accuracy of data transferred between instruments/applications and LIS in accordance with current best practices.

Minimum Education and/or Training:
- Bachelors degree in computer science engineering business or related field required.
- Masters degree preferred.
Minimum Experience:
- Minimum requirement: 4 years of experience in a comparable client-facing IT role
- Experience working with structured Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies
- Exposure to diverse business ecosystems of moderate complexity in pharma healthcare biotech and/or research organization preferred
- Demonstrated history leading discussions and documenting resulting business and/or technical requirements user stories and process flows
- Experience translating business requirements to technical/system requirements
- Demonstrated ability to work with mid to senior-level business leaders
