What Youll Do in This Role:

Are you called to make a profound difference in the lives of others through spiritual support compassion and presence Join our vibrant senior living community as a Chaplain where your mission will be to uplift the hearts and spirits of our residents while honoring and celebrating their diverse beliefs. As our Chaplain you will be a trusted source of comfort strength and inspirationproviding spiritual care emotional support and interfaith guidance to residents and families. Youll walk alongside our residents offering peace purpose and connection in a compassionate environment that respects and embraces all faith traditions.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead worship and spiritual growth opportunities that cater to all faith traditions.
• Embracing and respecting diverse religious and cultural backgrounds fostering inclusivity.
• Host regular religious services for residents to engage in.
• Perform sacred rites such as penance communion (Holy Eucharist) funerals and other ceremonies upon request.
• Provide spiritual guidance to residents and staff during times of crisis grief or loss offering comfort when needed.
• Support residents at the end of life ensuring their needs are met with dignity and respect.
• Maintain and submit records of pastoral activities and ensure relevant information is included in resident medical records.
• Participate in committees and work groups as assigned to contribute to the overall community wellbeing.

What Youll Need:

• Bachelors degree in human service field and Master of Divinity Degree or equivalent.
• Must be ordained and in good standing with ones ecclesiastical body.
• 3 years of experience in a pastoral ministry with significant time spent working with the elderly.
• Must be duly ordained in accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan.
• Association of Professional Chaplains certification preferred.
