Greystones Group has an opportunity for a Junior Software Engineer to support a Navy customer in the Washington D.C. area. This project is in support of process improvements to IT support tools. This candidate will support the design development and deployment of mission-critical software systems in support of the Department of Navy (DoN). This position will be located in the Washington D.C. area; however if the candidates unique skills and experience would result in considerable value added to the customer the position can be performed at remote locations and/or telework.

Salary range starting at $60k
Responsibilities:
- Assist with designing developing testing and maintaining secure software solutions that meet system requirements and government specifications.
- Participate in Agile development processes including sprint planning stand-ups backlog grooming and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with system engineers cybersecurity personnel and program stakeholders to integrate software into larger systems.
- Assist in developing technical documentation including software design documents interface control documents and test plans.
- Support configuration management version control and code review processes to maintain software quality.
- Apply security-focused development practices aligned with DoD and Navy requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Systems Engineering Computer Science Software Engineering or a related discipline.
- 1 years of experience in software engineering in a DoD/DoN environment.
- Proficient in one or more programming languages such as Java C C# or Python.
- Familiarity with Agile and/or DevSecOps methodologies.
- Active Secret clearance required.
