What You Will Do

  • Provide clinical leadership and oversee daily nursing operations in the Skilled Nursing Unit.

  • Supervise mentor and support nursing and direct care staff ensuring consistency and excellence in resident care.

  • Coordinate and manage resident assessments individualized care plans and ongoing wellness monitoring.

  • Foster a respectful inclusive and engaging community that honors each residents individuality and autonomy.

  • Serve as a key liaison between residents families healthcare providers and internal departments.

  • Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations as well as Kendals internal policies.

  • Lead and participate in staff recruitment onboarding training and performance evaluations.

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to drive continuous quality improvement and best practices in elder care.

What You Bring

  • Licensed a RN in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with a strong preference for experience in long-term care or geriatrics.

  • Current CPR/BLS certification
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory compliance and person-centered care principles.

  • Excellent communication organizational and leadership skills.

  • A team-first attitude strong clinical judgment and a passion for serving older adults with dignity and compassion.
