Staff Accountant
Location: Arlington VA
Full-time Exempt Hybrid (4 Days in office per week)

Overview:
A growing organization in the renewable energy space is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its dynamic accounting team. This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple entities support financial operations and contribute to a mission-driven company focused on sustainability and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform monthly and quarterly accounting close processes
- Assist with balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare loan draws for development projects
- Record journal entries for revenue accounts payable prepaid expenses and debt transactions
- Collaborate with finance and operations teams to generate ad-hoc accounting reports
- Serve as a liaison with external auditors lenders and vendors
- Support cash forecasting and liquidity analysis
- 12 years of accounting experience in external auditor general ledger accounting
- CPA license or CPA candidate preferred
- Experience in renewable energy construction or real estate industries is a plus
- Familiarity with technical accounting topics and intercompany transactions
- Experience with NetSuite Oracle or similar general ledger systems preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Excel PowerPoint and Word
- Ability to work cross-functionally with finance treasury operations and legal teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
