The Role
- Position: KS1 Class Teacher (Year 1 or Year 2 based on experience)
- Location: Hemel Hempstead Hertfordshire
- Start Date: January 2026
- Contract: Permanent Full-Time or Part-Time considered
- TLR: Available for subject or key stage leadership (for the right candidate)
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality engaging and inclusive lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
- Use formative assessment to support pupil progress and plan effectively
- Foster a positive classroom environment that promotes emotional well-being and independence
- Work closely with your year group partner and wider team to share planning and best practice
- Communicate clearly and constructively with parents and carers
- (If applicable) Take on a leadership role for a subject or key area within the school
What Were Looking For
- A qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with experience or a strong interest in Key Stage 1
- A reflective and creative practitioner who puts children at the heart of learning
- A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Someone with strong classroom management who promotes high expectations and mutual respect
- A teacher keen to grow professionally and contribute to school-wide improvement
