We are delighted to offer a permanent KS1 Class Teacher role in an Ofsted-rated Outstanding mainstream primary school in Hemel Hempstead Hertfordshire. This position is open to both full-time and part-time applicants and for the right candidate there is potential for a TLR linked to subject or phase leadership.

The Role

• Position: KS1 Class Teacher (Year 1 or Year 2 based on experience)
• Location: Hemel Hempstead Hertfordshire
• Start Date: January 2026
• Contract: Permanent Full-Time or Part-Time considered
• TLR: Available for subject or key stage leadership (for the right candidate)

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality engaging and inclusive lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
• Use formative assessment to support pupil progress and plan effectively
• Foster a positive classroom environment that promotes emotional well-being and independence
• Work closely with your year group partner and wider team to share planning and best practice
• Communicate clearly and constructively with parents and carers
• (If applicable) Take on a leadership role for a subject or key area within the school

What Were Looking For

• A qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with experience or a strong interest in Key Stage 1
• A reflective and creative practitioner who puts children at the heart of learning
• A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Someone with strong classroom management who promotes high expectations and mutual respect
• A teacher keen to grow professionally and contribute to school-wide improvement
