Job Description
Nursery Teacher Primary School Hillingdon
Start Date: January 2026
Contract: Full-Time Fixed-Term (1 Year Maternity Cover)
We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Nursery Teacher to join our primary school in Hillingdon on a one-year maternity cover contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the early years of childrens education within a supportive and inclusive school community.

The Role
The successful candidate will:
- Plan and deliver engaging developmentally appropriate lessons for Nursery-aged children.
- Promote the social emotional and academic development of all pupils.
- Create a safe inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
- Work closely with colleagues parents and carers to support each childs individual needs.
- Monitor and assess pupil progress adapting teaching strategies as necessary.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a teacher who:
- Holds QTS or equivalent early years teaching qualifications.
- Has experience teaching in a Nursery or Early Years setting.
- Demonstrates excellent classroom management and safeguarding awareness.
- Is passionate about early years education and fostering a love of learning.
- Thrives in a collaborative environment and contributes positively to school ethos.
