About the Role

This position plays a critical role in supporting research operations by ensuring proper care handling and housing of laboratory animals while maintaining a clean and compliant facility.

Key Responsibilities

Perform daily husbandry tasks including cleaning cage changes sanitization and equipment preparation.
Handle and care for research animals in compliance with local federal and USDA regulations.
Receive house and monitor animals while ensuring proper documentation in written and electronic systems.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment through consistent observation and attention to detail.
Collaborate in a team-based setting to support animal welfare and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma required.
Minimum 2 years of experience (animal care or related work preferred).
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

AALAS Certification.
Prior animal care experience
