About the Role
This position plays a critical role in supporting research operations by ensuring proper care handling and housing of laboratory animals while maintaining a clean and compliant facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily husbandry tasks including cleaning cage changes sanitization and equipment preparation.
- Handle and care for research animals in compliance with local federal and USDA regulations.
- Receive house and monitor animals while ensuring proper documentation in written and electronic systems.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment through consistent observation and attention to detail.
- Collaborate in a team-based setting to support animal welfare and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience (animal care or related work preferred).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- AALAS Certification.
- Prior animal care experience
