Job Summary

Physician Assistant - Hoxie Kansas

Salary up to $140K DOE

Responsibilities:

Assess patient status by obtaining health history through patient/family interviews assess illness risk factors psychosocial situation
Perform physical exam & update medical records
Order diagnostic tests consult with physicians for evaluation of illness & determine diagnosis and treatment plan & medication prescriptions
Handle minor lacerations instruct patient/family regarding medications and treatments educate patient regarding health promotion/illness prevention
Participate in peer reviews chart reviews staff education clinical development & continuing education
Collaborate with physicians in managing the medical needs of patients in the clinic acute emergency room and long-term care settings monitor care between visits according to a treatment plan which includes triaging patient calls/emails
Share in the supervision of RNs LPNs medical assistants CNAs and/or scribes

Education and/or Experience:

Current state Physician Assistant license with prescriptive authority in good standing
Focus on family practice and board certified
Current Drug Enforcement Administration registration
Current ACLS PALS & BLS certifications
