Job Overview:
Our client a respected regional hospital committed to delivering high-quality patient care is seeking an experienced Interim Chief Operating Officer to lead operational strategy and execution during a critical transition period. This role is ideal for a seasoned healthcare executive who thrives in fast-paced environments and can drive measurable improvements across clinical operations patient flow and administrative systems.
As the staffing partner we re seeking candidates who bring both strategic vision and hands-on leadership to stabilize and optimize hospital operations while supporting executive continuity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily hospital operations including inpatient units ancillary services and support departments
- Collaborate with the CEO CMO and CFO to align operational goals with clinical and financial performance
- Lead initiatives to improve throughput reduce length of stay and enhance patient satisfaction
- Manage department heads and ensure accountability for KPIs compliance and quality metrics
- Support workforce planning recruitment and retention strategies in collaboration with HR
- Serve as a visible and engaged leader across the hospital fostering a culture of transparency and excellence
- Provide executive-level reporting and updates to the board and senior leadership
Qualifications:
- Proven success as a hospital COO VP of Operations or equivalent leadership role
- Minimum 10 years of progressive healthcare management experience
- Strong command of hospital operations regulatory compliance and performance improvement
- Ability to lead during change stabilize teams and implement best practices quickly
- Exceptional communication stakeholder engagement and conflict resolution skills
- Master s degree in Healthcare Administration Business or related field preferre
