Senior Lab Analyst

WHAT IS ON OFFER

Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Laboratory Analyst to join the team in Richards Bay. This individual will be responsible for coverage of reporting personnel including shift supervision as well as ensuring Laboratory Analysts training is done correctly and addition the role will also be responsible for ensuring generation and production of analytical results to a high degree of precision and accuracy and ensuring that a cost effective and high quality analytical service is provided to clients within stipulated turnaround times.

• Keeping the reception area clean and professional

• Basic knowledge and understanding of ISO17025 requirements
• Good knowledge and understanding of ICP-OES and classical wet chemistry
  

Required work experience

• Minimum 5 years Analytical Laboratory experience on XRF sample preparation and analysis
• Technical Signatory requirements and responsibilities
• Evaluating and reporting of results
• Preparation and application of calibrations

Required Qualifications

• Grade 12 (with Maths Chemistry and Science)
• Analytical Chemistry Diploma or other appropriate Tertiary Qualification added advantage
