An exciting opportunity has arisen for a seasoned Head of Technology to lead the technical vision and execution for a rapidly scaling Home Services platform based in Cape Town. This is a strategic leadership role ideal for a tech visionary who can balance innovation with execution build high-performing teams and align technology with commercial growth.

Working closely with executive leadership the successful candidate will drive the platforms evolution while ensuring secure scalable and user-friendly solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and lead the long-term technology strategy aligned with business goals
• Build lead and mentor a high-performing engineering team
• Oversee planning and execution of technology projects and agile delivery
• Champion innovation system resilience and security best practices
• Drive adoption of scalable architecture infrastructure and DevOps principles
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product design commercial and operations
• Represent the technology function at board and executive levels
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and continuously enhance digital capabilities

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field
• Proven experience in a senior tech leadership role (e.g. CTO VP Engineering)
• Strong foundation in system design cloud computing architecture and development
• Experience scaling engineering teams in agile fast-paced environments
• Proficiency with modern tech stacks and cloud services (e.g. AWS Azure Google Cloud)
• Exposure to DevOps containerisation CI/CD pipelines and microservices
• Strong leadership strategic thinking and cross-functional communication skills
• Ability to drive results in complex dynamic environments
