$1.50 shift differential for 2-10pm shifts and a $2.25 shift differential for overnight shifts

Overview: Legacy at Salina under the management of Campbell Street Senior Living is seeking compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) to join our team. As a premier senior living community we provide skilled nursing and long-term care services. This role is an excellent opportunity to provide hands-on care and make a difference in the lives of our residents. Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing dressing grooming and feeding.
• Monitor and report changes in residents physical and mental conditions to the nursing staff to ensure that appropriate care is provided.
• Assist with mobility including helping residents move in and out of beds chairs and wheelchairs.
• Take and record vital signs such as temperature pulse respiration and blood pressure.
• Assist with patient transfers repositioning residents in their beds and ensuring they are comfortable.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents by following infection control protocols and sanitizing equipment.
• Document care provided and report any changes or concerns regarding the health and safety of residents.
• Assist residents with toileting incontinence care and changing bed linens as needed.
• Help with feeding residents who need assistance with meals ensuring they are comfortable during meal times.
• Provide companionship to residents and offer emotional support ensuring their dignity and respect are maintained.
• Respond to residents call lights and provide timely assistance based on their needs.
• Assist with patient admissions and discharges ensuring a smooth transition for residents.
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate with the nursing staff to ensure the best care for residents.
• Support residents in social and recreational activities as needed to improve their quality of life.
• Follow facility policies and procedures ensuring compliance with all regulations and safety standards.

Education Requirements & Qualifications (Kansas):

• Active CNA certification in the state of Kansas.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited CNA program.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification required or must be obtained within a specific time frame after hiring.
• Previous experience in long-term care or senior living environments is preferred but not required.
• Basic understanding of medical terminology and resident care practices.
• Ability to follow care plans and provide individualized support to residents.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents families and staff.
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds including assisting with the transfer or repositioning of residents.
• Must be able to stand walk and bend for extended periods of time during shifts.
• Ability to assist with resident mobility including moving or repositioning residents in beds wheelchairs or chairs.
• Occasional bending kneeling and stooping while providing care to residents.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to various tasks and resident needs.
• Ability to work some evenings weekends or holidays based on facility needs.
