Commercial Lines Department Leader
Job Summary
Seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Lines Department Leader to join a team. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead a dedicated team of professionals while managing your own book of business. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in commercial lines a passion for leadership and the ability to foster a collaborative and efficient team environment. This position is integral to the companys culture which values stability low turnover and a supportive workplace.
Compensation Package
- Salary Range: $115000 - $150000 (commensurate with experience).
- Competitive benefits package 401(k) paid time off professional development opportunities etc.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and lead a team of professionals within the Commercial Lines department.
- Manage your own generalist book of business including quoting new and renewal business.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers and clients.
- Provide coaching mentorship and training to team members to enhance their skills and efficiency.
- Ensure the team operates effectively and meets organizational goals.
- Collaborate with other departments to uphold the companys culture and values.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial lines insurance with a strong technical background.
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and develop a team.
- Personable and approachable with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle a generalist book of business and work effectively with carriers.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Holds an active P&C (Property and Casualty) insurance license.
