Job Summary

Work Flexibility: Hybrid or Onsite

As a Staff Product Engineer on Strykers Medical division R&D team you will support our Basic Life Support and AED product lines leading both new product development and sustaining engineering projects. You will act as a project leader problem solver and cross-functional collaborator. You will guide engineering teams through planning and execution mentor junior engineers and apply broad technical knowledge across systems electrical and mechanical disciplines.

You must live within commuting distance of our Redmond WA office. This is a hybrid role on-site Monday through Wednesday with remote flexibility Thursday and Friday.

What You Will Do

  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with R&D Quality Manufacturing Regulatory Clinical Marketing and Project Management.

  • Analyze and resolve complex design challenges by applying technical expertise and understanding of user needs.

  • Plan and conduct advanced prototyping and testing incorporating clinical insights and Voice of Customer feedback.

  • Mentor others in design controls risk management and industry standards to ensure regulatory compliance.

  • Drive creation and maintenance of engineering documentation.

  • Develop and manage project plans proactively addressing scope changes risks and conflicts to meet key milestones.

  • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency quality and team performance.

What You Need

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant R&D or project management work experience in a cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a regulated environment (e.g. medical devices aerospace automotive)

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain moderately complex plans and technical details to team members

  • Experience developing and optimizing complex mechanical or electro-mechanical assemblies with a strong understanding of DFM principles

$100700 - $165100 salary plus bonus eligible benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on pay is based on skills experience and other relevant factors.

Travel Percentage: 10%
