Job Description

Please note this is a Trust wide role and not solely for Aureus Primary School.

GLF Schools is looking for an exceptional Primary Strategic Improvement Lead for English to champion high-quality teaching of phonics reading and writing across our primary schools.

Your Opportunity

This is a key leadership role within our Education Team offering the opportunity to shape curriculum strategy support school improvement and lead impactful professional development across a diverse and ambitious trust.

In this role you will:

  • Lead the development and implementation of a research-informed English strategy across all primary settings.
  • Support school leaders to identify priorities and implement evidence-based improvements in phonics reading and writing.
  • Analyse trust-wide data to inform strategic decisions and raise standards.
  • Deliver high-quality professional development and coaching for English leaders and teachers.
  • Facilitate collaboration and build capacity through networks and shared expertise.
  • Stay up to date with national guidance and educational research to ensure our English provision remains ambitious and effective.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate English educator with a strong track record of impact ready to lead change and improve outcomes for children across the trust.

  • Proven success in leading high-quality English provision in primary schools.
  • Strong knowledge of phonics reading and writing pedagogy.
  • Experience in coaching and developing teachers.
