The success of our program in recent years has inspired us to dream bigger and last year we joined forces with Good Things Foundation and Good360 to launch the National Device Bank (NDB). The NDBs mission is to ensure every Australian in need has access to a working laptop to improve their outcomes in education employment and reap the benefits of the digital economy.

About the Role:

This is not your average sales role. Youll be at the forefront of engaging with Australias largest technology stakeholders across a variety of sectors liaising with C-suite leaders IT managers OEMs resellers and distributors to:

  • Secure commitments of donated technology for the National Device Bank.
  • Lead the full sales cycle: from generating leads and opening doors through to closing agreements and nurturing long-term relationships.

This role is instrumental to grow momentum for the NDB by engaging with companies and governments around Australia to increase devices distributed through our network of NFPs. To achieve this you will focus on developing enduring partnerships with public and private sector organisations that result in substantial ongoing donations of used equipment.

Employment type: Fixed term part-time or subcontract flexible.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement an adaptive strategic plan targeting stakeholders across the technology sector corporates and government.
  • Identify and engage potential partners to secure donations of used laptops tablets mobiles and peripheral technology growing each relationship into long-term commitments.
  • Strengthen the donor value proposition and offering to reduce the barriers to donating.
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to align outreach efforts with scheduled PR campaigns.
  • Collaborate with advocacy team to align outreach efforts with government advocacy campaigns.

About You:

Youre an experienced technology sector professional with a proven sales track record. You know how to influence decision-makers open up new opportunities and deliver results. You thrive in boardrooms with executives as much as you do on the ground with operational teams. Most importantly youre motivated by the chance to align commercial success with measurable social good.

  • Proven experience in (5 years) sales partnerships or business development preferably into CxOs at corporate organisations or government.
  • In depth knowledge of the technology sector in Australia how to navigate and engage with decision makers of large technology fleets.
  • Has a strong network and understanding of the technology ecosystem (IT asset management OEMs resellers distributors enterprise).
  • Demonstrates confidence and credibility when engaging C-suite leaders and senior decision-makers.
  • Excels at lead generation pipeline management and closing complex deals.
  • Is motivated to make a tangible social impact by helping bridge the digital divide.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate the value of digital inclusion initiatives to potential partners.
  • Ability to develop enduring relationships grounded in shared value that extends beyond financial drivers.
  • Familiarity with IT decommissioning processes and IT related sustainability reporting is a plus.
