Job Summary:

The Raytheon Advanced Products and Solutions division is seeking an established Mechanical Engineer to fill an On-Site position in our McKinney TX location. We are looking for self-starting candidates to perform mechanical design and documentation of electro-mechanical assemblies coordinate with and visit suppliers throughout the US and support our manufacturing facility in McKinney TX. The candidate is expected to follow established procedures and instructions while working closely with program and functional leadership to ensure the overall design and production goals are met. The candidate is expected to have exposure with PTC Creo Parametric software or other Solid Modeling tools. The candidate is also expected to have a working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles and their application for design documentation and fabrication. The candidate will work within a multi-disciplined team of engineers with responsibilities ranging housing design electronics equipment packaging circuit card assemblies interconnects and thermal management. The position will require frequent interaction with the Integrated Program Team Lead (IPTL) Program Management (PM) Supply Chain and other external personnel. Program-related travel to external suppliers and other Raytheon facilities may be as high as 25% but typically does not exceed 10%.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in mechanical engineering or related field.

Minimum 2 years relevant professional experience in mechanical engineering or related field.

Experienced in solid modeling using PTC CREO Parametric or other mechanical CAD design tool(s).

The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Desired Qualifications:

Knowledge of electromechanical assemblies and the interrelationship of the components therein.

Knowledge of materials and fabrication methods.

Knowledge of statistical concepts and how to apply them to development and production processes.

Knowledge of engineering and scientific methods and tools to characterize behavior of products and processes.

Knowledge of mechanical fabrication and assembly drawings.

Production support including the use of basic measurement tools.

Ability to draft communications create and deliver presentations.

Able to work independently and as a team member.

Experience in the support of design and integration of mechanical products and assemblies.

Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Knowledge of Mechanical CAD design and electronic design.

Ability to travel between North Texas sites and nationwide suppliers.

Analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work in a multi-disciplined integrated product team.

Active U.S. Department of Defense-issued security clearance.

The salary range for this role is 66000 USD - 130000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including but not limited to individual performance business unit performance and/or the companys performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
