About the Role
As aPhysician Assistant (PA)orNurse Practitioner (NP) you will provide a broad range of clinical services to patients of all ages. Youll treat acute episodic conditions such as sore throats colds flu-like symptoms cuts sprains and minor infections. Youll work independently or alongside a physician using your clinical expertise to assess diagnose and treat patients while recognizing when to escalate care to emergency services.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Conduct physical exams and review patient medical histories
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging
  • Diagnose conditions and prescribe appropriate treatments or medications
  • Perform minor procedures including suturing splinting and casting
  • Document patient encounters and treatment plans in the EMR
  • Educate and counsel patients on care and prevention
  • Administer vaccinations and refer patients to specialists as needed
  • Work scheduled shifts of 4 8 or 12 hours as assigned
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership
Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of full-time experienceas a licensed NP or PA in an Urgent Care or Emergency Medicinesetting (required)
  • Experience treating both pediatric and adultpatient populations (required)
  • Comfortable performing minor proceduresincluding suturing casting and splinting (required)
  • Proficient in preliminary readsof EKGs and X-rays (required)
Physician Assistants:
  • Masters degree from an accredited PA program (required)
  • NCCPA Certification(required)
Nurse Practitioners:
  • Masters degree in Nursing (required)
  • National certification as a Nurse Practitioner (AANP or ANCC) (required)
Required Skills & Abilities
  • Proficiency in urgent care procedures (e.g. suturing splinting)
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attentive listening and patient engagement
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
  • Multilingual communication skills
  • Familiarity with telemedicine platforms
  • Basic understanding of medical billing and coding
