INBRAIN harnesses the extraordinary material properties of Graphene the worlds thinnest and nobel-prize winning material to build high resolution neural systems.Our mission is to decode and modulate neural networks to restore peoples lives.
Since this is a major mission we needed a major partner. Our INBRAIN subsidiaryINNERVIA has an ongoing 4 year collaboration with Merck KGaA to decode and modulate the Vagus nerve in high resolution and deliver therapies in areas of interest for Merck at the peripheral nervous system level.
As aEmbedded Software Architect you will be responsible for making decisions on architecture and implementation strategies and maintenance on the documentation stack per embedded delivery. The role maintains close collaboration and interaction with the system and product team and is the linking pin to the development team.
You will be at the forefront of bringing advanced healthcare solutions to market making a tangible difference in peoples lives worldwide.
Your profile
Main Responsibilities:- End-responsible for making decisions on architecture and implementation strategies and guiding the team in all of that.
- Maintainsclosecollaboration and interaction with the systems and product teams.
- Responsible for thedelivery correctnessofthe documentation stack per embeddedsubsystem.
- Responsible for thequalityin broadest sensecode qualitytestability.
- Ensuring compliance withIEC62304.
- Establishsoftware development best practices including modular design coding guidelines and architectural patterns.
Mandatory Qualifications and Soft skills:- Bachelors or Masters degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- 8 yearsof experience in embedded software development with at leasta number ofyears in architecture/leadership roles.
- Expert inC with deep knowledge of low-level programming memory management and performance optimization.
- Knowledge ofembedded debugging techniques(JTAG/SWD oscilloscopes logic analyzers tracing tools).
- Experience withreal-time operating systems (RTOS) bare-metal and Linux-based embedded systems.
- Solid understanding oftesting methodologies(unit testing integration testing HIL testing automated test frameworks).
- Demonstrated experience withIEC 62304and development of software for regulated industries (medical automotive aerospace).
- Knowledge ofsystem-level safety and risk management(e.g. ISO 14971 FMEA fault-tolerant design).
- Experience withCI/CD pipelinesfor embedded development version control (Git) andbuildsystems.
- Familiarity withdesign for manufacturing (DFM)anddesign for testing (DFT)principles.
- Strong communicationskills with the ability to lead cross-functional discussions and present architecture decisions.
- Able to catch complex system behavior into simple drawings.
Nice to have:- Familiar with Python scripting
- Experience with nightly integration testing on real devices
- Knowledge of cyber security
