Position Overview This position will support the development of the new ANA Brand Practice by managing programming and optimizing some of the ANAs most dynamic committees conferences and awards programs.
Committee meetings are intimate forums that bring client-side marketers together for peer-to-peer learning benchmarking best practice sharing networking and addressing industry issues. Today the Brand Practice leads the Brand Strategy Brand Experience Brand Activation and Brand Measurement & Accountability committees that meet virtually and in-person through the year.
Conferences are major industry events open to all and the Brand team owns the Brand Masters Conference an opportunity for bold exciting marketers to share lessons and observations with a committed in-person and virtual audience.
The individual in this role will also support the Oscars of the ANA the REGGIE Awards an exceptional opportunity to see the best work in the marketing industry and to work with hundreds of marketers who act as judges.
Finally thought leadership is a major priority for the ANA and this individual will contribute to research and POV papers that help further the most important elements of brand marketing.
For the right person this role essentially offers a PhD in marketing and youll be on the inside of important industry conversations.
Major Responsibilities
Provide critical support of all Brand Practice committee meetings (4x committees meeting 4x per year) by programming and managing each meeting under guidance of the Practice VP
For all committee meetings:
Initiate and maintain outreach to potential and confirmed speakers
Maintain event pages on ANA website regularly to ensure meeting details are up to date and accurate
Manage back-end logistics on Zoom and within ANA system
Create slide decks and help run meeting Q&As
Prepare and distribute detailed post-meeting reports internally and surveys externally
For in-person committee meetings:
Support as needed across check-in/registration A/V setups catering and on-site event logistics
Support Practice conferences by liaising with speakers contributing to curating meeting content assisting with marketing and promotion of meetings
Awards program recruitment marketing lead generation operations and other tasks as needed
This position is based in New York City and requires four days of on-site work per week. Some domestic travel (10-20% on an annual basis) is also required.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree plus 3-5 years of relevant work experience at an agency client-side marketer brand and/or event marketing
Existing knowledge of topical areas
Passion for the marketing and advertising industry including staying up to date on news trends topics potential meeting speakers etc.
Some experience managing and/or working on award programs is a plus
Familiarity with the following platforms a must: MS Office MS Teams CMS systems Zoom. Working knowledge of SurveyMonkey and Informz is a plus.
Highly motivated and an organized self-starter who will take the initiative to get the job done with accuracy and attention to detail
Strong writing communication and people skills with a customer service mindset
Must be hands-on and proactive with the ability to multitask handle simultaneous projects and manage tight deadlines
Should be comfortable with A/V conference room technology or quick to learn
Crucial to have ability to work across various teams in a matrixed environment. This team is very collaborative and often assists other team members when the need arises
Salary and Total Rewards Package
