DENT WIZARD

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Title: Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) Technician

Reports To:Fixed Operations Manager or Area Operations Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

As a Paintless Dent Repair (PDR)Tech your essential job functions include:

$50000-$150000/year

Using our proprietary process youll repair ding and dent damage for customers on a mobile route or at an assigned location. Youll review your work with customers as well as walk lots write work orders and negotiate to gain approval and build business. You may get involved in training other Techs and working with your manager to prospect new accounts.

Perform the following items (60%)

  • Dent Assessment:
  • Examine damaged vehicle panels to determine the extent of dents or damage.
  • Evaluate the feasibility of using PDR techniques for repair.
  • Tools and Equipment:
  • Use specialized PDR tools such as dent pullers rods and reflection boards to manipulate dents from the inside of the panel.
  • Employe lighting and reflective tools to identify subtle imperfections in the metal.
  • Dent Removal:
  • Carefully and skillfully massage dents and deformities in the vehicles body panels to restore their original shape.

Quality Control and Service Excellence (20%)

  • Inspect repaired areas to ensure they meet quality standards and match the surrounding paint and finish.
  • Make any necessary adjustments or refinements.
  • Interact with customers to explain the repair process provide cost estimates and answer questions.

Serve as SME Technician for the Division (20%)

  • Maintain records of preparation processes materials used and any issues or defects encountered.
  • Ensure the vehicles structural integrity is maintained during the repair process.

Position Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certification or training in Paintless Dent Removal (PDR) techniques is required or enrollment in DentWizards PDR training program.
  • Proficiency in using specialized PDR tools and equipment.
  • Knowledge of automotive body structures and finishes.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools.
  • Strong work ethic self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
  • Toughness and grit to work outside in all kinds of weather.
  • Valid drivers license and good driving record

Physical Job Requirements

  • Work in well-ventilated automotive repair shops or refurbishing facilities
  • Physical stamina to frequently kneel bend and squat as well as lift up to 45 pounds.
  • Standing for extended periods of time
  • If mobile must be able to travel to assigned areas on a consistent basis.
  • Must be capable of simple and fine motor hand manipulations.
  • Work in ventilated automotive repair shops refurbishing facilities or outdoor.

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications experience and geographic location.

The starting compensation is expected to be:

$50000-$150000/year
